33. A sad statement about galvanic zink plating

As the chassis was stored outside in the dry carport, I saw some grey areas on parts, which were galvanic zink plated.
Normaly this parts have a black, shiny surface - see no. 19

As I have read in the web, the zink will blooming, if it will get in touch with sour mediums, I have to live with that.
Protect the zink is the one and only methode to go on here.

Good to have a spare can of black Brantho Korux, my favorite anti-rust paint. The look after everything is dry is nearly the same.
Lets start to paint everything which was zink plated with the black paint...

It was a lot of work - unmount the hole suspension, all the small backets in the engine bay and all the other stuff... but it is done now.

For upcoming projects:
Galvanic zink plating is still one of the best rust protections. You have to cover all parts with a paint to protect the zink - well its work, but for all the small parts there is no way around this...

Sorry no pictures...
